The Stockings Are Hung!

Happy Friday!  I am back with another Christmas in July card for you.
You may not know, but I am also a quilter.  When I look at this Stamptangle Stocking stamp from Just For Fun Stamps, I see a quilt.  It looks like a crazy quilted Christmas stocking.  I have been wanting to make something with this stamp for a while now.  I found these papers in my stash.  (we all know what those are, but lets not tell the husband about it) and it inspired me to color this stocking in more old fashion Christmas colors.  I hope you like it too!

Red, White & Blue!

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!  Hope you are all enjoying your summer.  It's been nice here and not too hot yet.  We did have a week that has had 100's in it.  But then cooled back down.  I know that we have more heat to come and I am not looking forward to that.  I will stay inside with the AC on those days and use that time to craft my heart out.  Lol.  The dogs enjoy those days with me too.
I know 4th of July has passed, but I wan'ted to try this new Just For Fun Stamp that I just got in the mail.  I have had my eye on this for a while now.  I love how it turned out.  I hope you like it too.
So Here's to the RED, WHITE and BLUE!

Supplies Used:
Just For Fun Rubber Stamp- G3036 New York Tag
Tim Holtz Distress Inks- Fired Brick & Faded Jeans
Patterned Papers
Cream Card Stock
Banner Strip from some Scrapbook Supplies
Baker's Twine in Navy and Red

I inked may stamp half way with the red and then the other half with blue.  I think sprayed the stamp with water lightly and then stamped it onto my card stock.  I cut out my image and then arranged all my papers and glued them down.  I added my banner piece and then the twine.  I then stapled the image onto the card piece and made sure I got the twin in there very securely.

Hope you enjoyed this card and it inspires you to go create something in your crafty space.
Thank you to all of our service men and woman !
Have a great weekend everyone!
Hugs, Heidi
