Snowy Winter Card

Happy New Year to you!  I hope everyone had a great time and is ready for a wonderful 2016!
It's been snowing here and very cold.  We don't normally get much snow here.  We have been here 3 years and this year the snow is more than the last two together.  It had me thinking of how pretty it is when the trees are all covered with snow and the stars are shinning bright.  So I thought JFF has some wonderful tree stamps and bingo..... here it is!

Here is list of supplies:
Just For Fun Stamp- D3822 Fir Trees
Purple Pattern Card Stock
Versa Mark Ink Pad
White Embossing Powder
White Acrylic Paint
Water & Paint Brush
I stamped the Fir Trees all over and then covered it with embossing powder and heated.
To get the falling snow, I got some paint on my pallet and added water to it just enough to make it thin enough to splatter with.  But not too thin that it is transparent.  Then with my brush, I tapped it with my finger on the handle of the brush down towards the metal part that hold the bristles in.
I hope you enjoy making your winter wonder land.
Hugs, Heidi

Christmas Magic

Merry Christmas!
I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Holiday with your loved ones today.
We were going to see some family today, but due to some winter stormy weather, we decided to play it safe and stay home.
I made two different cards this time.  The cards shown here were part of my Christmas cards that I made to send to friends and family this year.  I love the feel of them and the none traditional colors.  And the glitter!!
I hope you get to spend some time crafting over the weekend after the family fun and all the yummy food.
Happy New Year and I will see you in 2016!
Hugs, Heidi

Warm Winter Wishes Snowman Card

It's Heidi here with you today.
It's only 2 weeks till Christmas, can you believe that?
I have been wrapping presents and baked some cookies but there is still so much to be done.  I still have a ton of Christmas Cards to make.  So I cranked up the Christmas tunes and got to work.
I love this little snowman.  He is so cute and was fun to color.  I didn't want him to be plain, so I used a pale pink and blue to make him stand out a bit more.  Then colored his hat and nose in bright colors. I used some velvet rick rack, a felt snowflake and some pink striped ribbon.  The ribbon reminds me of those yummy ribbon candies that my great grandma would always have in her candy dish when I was a young girl.  I also used some Tim Holtz tinsel that I just love and now I need to get more because of how cute this turned out.  I plan to make a few more of these for my card stash.

Here is a list of everything I used:
Just For Fun Stamps
D2936 Sketchy Snowman
D3337 Warm Winter Wishes
Stampin' Up Pink Passion Ink
Archival Jet Black Ink
Tombo Markers
Snowflake Paper
White Card Stock
Grey Card Stock
Pink Striped Ribbon
Black Velvet Rick Rack
Silver Tinsel Garland from Tim Holtz  Collection
Lavender Felt Snowflake
Start Dust, Silver and Glam Pink Stickles

I hope you have a wonderful week and get all your holiday cards and chores done and have fun doing them.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Hugs, Heidi

Vintage Christmas Card

Happy Day After Thanksgiving!  I have been so excited to share this card today.  It was so much fun to make.  I hope you take some time off from your shopping today and make a card or two also!
Maybe you can get all those cards made that you want to send to friends and family this year!

This card makes me think of Christmas Vacation, my favorite Christmas movie ever!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs, Heidi

Used to make this card:
Just For Fun Stamps:
F3510 Getting The Tree
D2568 Happy Holidays

I used white paper that I made the same width as the card itself and I tore the edges to make it look like snow peaks, then covered just the torn part with glue and sprinkled with glitter.  Once those were dry, I stacked them on top of each other and taped them down to my background.
I used Archival Jet Black Ink and Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise
I used distress markers to color my car and tree and people.
I used Stikels in Red to go around my Happy Holidays that I cut in half.
I attached the car and sentiment to the card with foam mounting tape.
I used Wink Of Stella for the headlights and chrome on the car to make it shinny.

Falling Leaves Card

Happy Fall everyone!  It's hard to believe we are almost halfway through November already.  This time of year goes by so fast.  Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away. I wanted to make a card for Thanksgiving this year.  I don't always make a card for this time of year, but the pretty colors and the crisp air has been wonderful this year and I thought I would make some cards to take to my family.
When I step out my front door every morning I see this  tree in our yard with warm purple, burgundy and orange colors, so that was my inspiration for this card.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get to make some fun cards for Thanksgiving.
Hugs, Heidi

Halloween Night Card

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday and Happy almost Halloween!  Heidi here with a fun Halloween Night card.  I had a lot of fun working on this card.  I even made some stencils with punches I have.  I started out using my circle punch to make my full moon.  I then used it to make some "cloud" like stencils.  I sponged on my colors and then let them dry.  I then went back with white and sponged more to make it look like fog and clouds.  Then I used my Versa Ink pad and stamped my webs- D3480 Classic Web, and used white embossing powder.  Then I stamped my D3455 Shake Rattle & Roll guy with Jet Black Archival ink and let it dry.  Then stamped again with a Versa Mark just slightly off from the original stamped image.  I embossed it with gold. Next, I stamped AA3424 Tiny Witch on a Broom in my moon.  I used A3504 Beware and punched the side with my Bat Punch.  After it was all dry, I used Stickles and Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.  I hope you get inspired to use your Just For Fun stamps and make a fun Halloween Card!
Hope you have a safe and fun Halloween.
Hugs,
Heidi
