It's A Cupcake Birthday!

Hi Everyone!  Happy March!  It's almost  Spring!  We have been getting lots of rain here, but that's good, because our summers have been hot and dry.  I will take the rain so there won't be as many fires this summer, I hope.  I thought about birthday cards and that I need to prepare for a bunch of upcoming birthdays.  I just love this cupcake stamp from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.  So I  added some fun bright colors and came up with quick birthday card.
Now I just need to make a dozen!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Hugs, Heidi

Buck Birthday Card

Hi everyone.  My focus this week was a manly birthday card.  They are hard for us to create sometimes right?  I have mostly men in my family and it's difficult sometimes for me to come up with good ideas for cards.  I have the buck stamp and just love him, so I thought why not!  Lets make a manly card.
Here is my Buck Birthday Card.  Hope it inspires you.

Supplies used to make this card:
Just For Fun Stamps;
D3821 Right Facing Buck
F3868 Balsam Branch
WB8011 Greetings Word Block
Wild Wasabi, Garden Green & Old Olive Stampin' Up Ink Pads
Espresso Truffle Memento Ink Pad
Tea Dye Distress Ink
Vanilla Card Stock
Dark Blue Card Stock From Tim Holtz
Corrugated Cardboard
Blue Twine from Tim Holtz
Foam Mounting Tape

I stamped all over my back ground using all three of the green stamp pads with the Balsam Branch stamp.  Then stamped my "Happy Birthday" and my Buck with the espresso truffle ink.  I went around the all the edges of the vanilla paper with the tea dye ink pad to distress it. I mounted the vanilla paper on to the blue card stock, but at a slant.  Then put my corrugated cardboard on and my twine and put my buck on with foam mounting tape.  I also put the sentiment on with the foam mounting tape.
See you next month!

Cameo Valentine's Day Card

Heidi here with another fun Valentine's Day card.  This one is supper quick for that last minute card.  this one can be changed just a bit and then it can be masculine.  I used some Stampin' Up designed paper I had left over and a cupcake liner.  Along with two stamps and some Echo Park Paper Co. Ephemera Die Cut pieces that I just got at my local craft store.  It took me about 10 minutes to make this card.  But it is super cute and it looks like it took me hours.  Got love that!

I glued the envelope down and then used mounting tape under the No. 14 die cut, glued a small heart on top of that.  I then flattened the cupcake liner some what to make it into a circle shape and make a surface for the cameo to sit on top of.  I stuck it down with  a glue dot.  Added the Cameo with mounting tape and used Liquid Pearls to make her pearl earrings and headband.  I used my tag punch to make a pink tag and stamped my sentiment on it and used my black pen to make markings around it.  I then used silver Stickels to outline it.  Added some red and white bakers twin and mounting tape and TA DA !!    You can change the paper out and the cupcake liner for more masculine looking papers.  You could use a circle punch and use a complementary masculine paper to replace the liner.

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day.  Whether it be with your sweetheart or your best friends or both, may it be a great day!
Hugs, Heidi

Love Letters Card

Hi everyone!  Heidi here with two cute cards for you for Valentine's Day.  I have been playing with more ink sprays and Glimmer Mist.  I love the sparkle you get with it.  FYI, you will have glitter all over you too!  But it was fun.  I used full sheets of paper, sprayed them with my sprays and also did some drips and splatters.  I used three different stamps, red glitter embossing powder and red ribbon with brads.  I gathered the ribbon to form a bow and then punched a small hole and put my brad in to hold it in shape.  That made it stay flatter for mailing.

Snowy Winter Card

Happy New Year to you!  I hope everyone had a great time and is ready for a wonderful 2016!
It's been snowing here and very cold.  We don't normally get much snow here.  We have been here 3 years and this year the snow is more than the last two together.  It had me thinking of how pretty it is when the trees are all covered with snow and the stars are shinning bright.  So I thought JFF has some wonderful tree stamps and bingo..... here it is!

Here is list of supplies:
Just For Fun Stamp- D3822 Fir Trees
Purple Pattern Card Stock
Versa Mark Ink Pad
White Embossing Powder
White Acrylic Paint
Water & Paint Brush
I stamped the Fir Trees all over and then covered it with embossing powder and heated.
To get the falling snow, I got some paint on my pallet and added water to it just enough to make it thin enough to splatter with.  But not too thin that it is transparent.  Then with my brush, I tapped it with my finger on the handle of the brush down towards the metal part that hold the bristles in.
I hope you enjoy making your winter wonder land.
Hugs, Heidi
