ICAD 2016 Cover Page

HI!  I have my cover page done for ICAD 2016.  If you are not familiar with ICAD, it stand for Index Card A Day.  It's a challenge by Daisy Yellow. See her blog here and her website here
I have made mine into a mini flip journal so I can take them with me when I need to art on the go.  The idea is to use as little as possible and just enjoy the act of making the art.  Something quick and easy.  No stress and No requirements, well maybe one, it has to be an index card!!
I will be back once a week with what I was able to create during the week.
If you join in, have fun!
 Happy crafting!

June JFF Challenge- 50's Flash Back

Welcome!  Today I am sharing my take on the June Just For Fun Stamp Challenge.
50"s Flash Back!
I love the 50"s retro look in just about everything.  I am pretty sure I would have fit well in the time, except I am not a big fan of dresses.  I love the slang they had, the fashions, the colors and the home decor.  So when I was told this was the theme for June, I was so excited to make something!
I hope you take the time to see all the blogs from our design team.  We have some very talented ladies here.
Make sure you enter our challenge this month.  You can win some really nice prizes.

The Ocean Card

Hi!  Heidi here with a card inspired by the ocean, after my short trip to the coast to see family.  I just love going to the ocean.  The clean air and calm quiet atmosphere.  It's so relaxing.  I need about a week or more there to unwind.  I wish we could.  But work and life sometimes gets in the way.  So I thought I would make a card that I can send to a friend and share a bit of that feeling of calmness to them.  I just love the Just For Fun Lighthouse Rubber Stamp, so what better use than an ocean themed card!
I also used the sand dollar stamp in the back ground.  It was a bit hard to see in the photo, so I hope you can see it.  I would use a white stamp next time to make them show up more.
Hope you get to enjoy the ocean at some time too!

Hope you have smooth sailing this weekend!

Here is a list of supplies used:
Just For Fun Rubber Stamps- F2303 Lighthouse & A081 Sand Dollar
Versa Mark Ink Pad
Memento Ink Pad in Tuxedo Black (note I would use my Ranger Archival Ink Pad next time as the ink wont smear when I use my water colors on it.)
Tag with Saying on it from some scraps I had ( you could type out a saying and glue it down instead)
Neocolor II Water Soluble Wax Pastels in:
Lemon Yellow, Emerald Green, Scarlet, Brown and Light Grey
Glue, Double Sided Tape and Foam Mounting Tape
Stickles Glitter Glue in: Star Dust and Golden Rod.

Hugs,
Heidi
