The Stockings Are Hung!

Happy Friday!  I am back with another Christmas in July card for you.
You may not know, but I am also a quilter.  When I look at this Stamptangle Stocking stamp from Just For Fun Stamps, I see a quilt.  It looks like a crazy quilted Christmas stocking.  I have been wanting to make something with this stamp for a while now.  I found these papers in my stash.  (we all know what those are, but lets not tell the husband about it) and it inspired me to color this stocking in more old fashion Christmas colors.  I hope you like it too!

Red, White & Blue!

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!  Hope you are all enjoying your summer.  It's been nice here and not too hot yet.  We did have a week that has had 100's in it.  But then cooled back down.  I know that we have more heat to come and I am not looking forward to that.  I will stay inside with the AC on those days and use that time to craft my heart out.  Lol.  The dogs enjoy those days with me too.
I know 4th of July has passed, but I wan'ted to try this new Just For Fun Stamp that I just got in the mail.  I have had my eye on this for a while now.  I love how it turned out.  I hope you like it too.
So Here's to the RED, WHITE and BLUE!

Supplies Used:
Just For Fun Rubber Stamp- G3036 New York Tag
Tim Holtz Distress Inks- Fired Brick & Faded Jeans
Patterned Papers
Cream Card Stock
Banner Strip from some Scrapbook Supplies
Baker's Twine in Navy and Red

I inked may stamp half way with the red and then the other half with blue.  I think sprayed the stamp with water lightly and then stamped it onto my card stock.  I cut out my image and then arranged all my papers and glued them down.  I added my banner piece and then the twine.  I then stapled the image onto the card piece and made sure I got the twin in there very securely.

Hope you enjoyed this card and it inspires you to go create something in your crafty space.
Thank you to all of our service men and woman !
Have a great weekend everyone!
Hugs, Heidi

Girly Dress Card

Hi all!  Happy Friday!
I  needed to make a cute girly card for a friends daughter.  Teens are a little hard to make cards for.  But I saw the skirt stamp and I knew I could make a cute card with it.  I want a kinda vintage feel to it, so I found some striped paper that I think works well.  Hope you like it.

Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black
Decorative Papers

Classic Father's Day Card

Happy Friday! I am here today with a cool Father's Day Card for you.  I do a lot of mixed media backgrounds and wanted to try to incorporate that into my cards. I really liked how this background turned out.  Father's Day is only two weeks away.  So I thought I would get a start on it now.  Happy Father's Day to all you dads, step dads, grandfathers and uncles that are like dads out there!

Supplies I used:
Just For Fun Rubber Stamps: F2949 57" Chevy and G3861 Tattered Screen Background
Dylusions Ink Sprays- Cherry Pie & Vibrant Turquoise
Irresistible Colored Texture Spray - Summer Sky
Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black
Distress Ink Pad - Mermaid Lagoon
Wink of Stella - Clear
Black Water Color Pencil
Watercolor Paper for my card background

To make my background I sprayed the texture spray first.  Then my other sprays.  I heat set them  with my heat gun.  You can't see it very well in the picture, but it's shinny and raised and crackled.  I just love how it turned out, so I think I may have to buy more of that texture spray.  I then stamped the screen stamp over the top of my sprays and dried it with the heat gun too.
I colored the Chevy with my Wink of Stella, but I couldn't get it to show in any of my pictures.  It made it look like it was metal flake blue.
Happy stamping!!!
Hugs, Heidi

June JFF Challenge- 50's Flash Back

Welcome!  Today I am sharing my take on the June Just For Fun Stamp Challenge.
50"s Flash Back!
I love the 50"s retro look in just about everything.  I am pretty sure I would have fit well in the time, except I am not a big fan of dresses.  I love the slang they had, the fashions, the colors and the home decor.  So when I was told this was the theme for June, I was so excited to make something!
I hope you take the time to see all the blogs from our design team.  We have some very talented ladies here.
Make sure you enter our challenge this month.  You can win some really nice prizes.
