Mini Album and Coffee Card

I am working on 5 Halloween mini albums! What was I thinking?  Well I have 2 down and 3 to go.  These are made from envelopes and tags. I love Halloween and I am so happy it's fall!
I am fighting a cold thanks to my hubby and the kids at school.  So I decided to play in my room tonight. I made a coffee card. Yesterday was National Coffee Day. So I thought better late than never.  It turned out very cute. I used some new toys this time. I have a few dies and embossing folders I have never used so I decided to try them out.  I inked my folder with turquoise and then ran it through the machine. Then went over it with brown ink. I love it!
I just got this cute coffee and tea stamp set so I had to use it.
Happy Fall!

Stamp Nation and Catherine Pooler Challenge.

Hi Everyone!  I am so excited to try a challenge from Catherine Pooler and Stamp Nation.
I stared following Catherine Pooler about a month ago and fell in love with her cards and her personality.  I watched a ton of videos and then read up on her group called Stamp Nation.  So I finally gave in to my little voice and tried out a membership with Stamp Nation.  I am still learning the in's and out's of the site, but I am loving it.  It has tons of videos and lots of things people have made and then shared on the site.  It's amazing all the ladies and gentlemen out there that make such great art!
So Catherine Pooler just did a new website update with fresh new designs and a new logo.  You should definitely check out her blog and if you like her like I do, you will want to join the Stamp Nation too! www.catherinepooler.com
Along with her new site design she is having a challenge with chances to win some great prizes.  Her challenge is "Home".  So I have made three cards so far.

I made two that have a very girly vintage feeling to them.  I used some doilies that I sponged with ink. and some sparkly ribbon.  The paper that I used for the backgrounds have a very vintage feel to them.  They are even kind of textured.  I just loved the paper and thought it made me feel comfy and like I was at my grandma's house.
Here are the two Vintage style cards I made.

Then I decided that with my love of fall and love for hot chocolate, I must make a card with my moose!  So here is my third card!

She is comfy in her home in her big fluffy chair with her feet up and she is ready for hot chocolate and her cup cake!  Oh how I wish this was me right now!  Still a bit too warm here for hot chocolate. But soon!
Have a great rest of your week.  Who knows, maybe I will make some more cards this week and show them off!
Till next time,
Happy crafting,
Heidi

End of Summer? How can that be here so soon!

Hi everyone.  I can not believe it's the end of summer and that it's the 15th of September already!
But it's getting to my most favorite time of year. FALL! I love the crisp mornings and evenings and all the trees starting to change color.  I love to bake and all the smells of fall.  I start having my candles going and the house smells warm and cozy.  Very homey feeling.

Ok well I have not been so good at working on my blog, so I wanted to add some things for my family and friends who do check out my blog so they can see what I have been up to.

This summer has been very busy for us.  I had a month off to play with my journal and art and enjoyed it but had to get back to work.  I started a new job mid July and I am loving it.
We just got a new puppy 2 weeks ago.  Emma is 4 months old and is wonderful.  She is doing very well and having potty accidents once in while.  Nothing major.  I will share photos of her too.

Now on to the good stuff.

I have been working in my Life Book 2014 Course and  here are some photos of my lessons.

I also took a class from Jane Davenport called Frolicaholics.  I loved it!! I had the best time and it made me relax and enjoy making art.  No pressures at all.  So here are some pictures of what I made in that class.  If you every get a chance to take a class from her, DO IT!
I also found this great group and joined in July. The Document Life Project.  It is an art journal- challenge group that has weekly prompts.
So here are some pictures of the work I have done in my journal for DLP.

I am having such a great time with all of these classes and groups.

I also made some ATC cards this summer and did a couple of swaps.  So here are a couple of photos to share with you what I made.

Ok are you sitting down for the cuteness to attack you?  Hope so cause here is our cute little Emma Rose....
She is so good and quite the snuggler.
I hope everyone is having a great start to their fall.  I will be back with some great cards and new stuff I am doing soon.
Hugs to you all!

So here is what I have been working on.
A project from Lifebook 2014 with Tamara Laporte

This is a new journal I started from a book I am altering with Claudia from Krazi Island Family. This book was a High School Musical book.  It is fun to work in and on a bigger scale.

The next photos are my homework practice for my class with Andrea Gomoll from Germany.  Her class is a lot of fun too!

I have a few things started that I hope to have done this weekend so I can share those next week.

2014 What I have been doing!

Ok........ I know I have been missing in action for a about a year almost.  I have had many changes in life.  Got a new job, moved due to the new job.  Trying to find my husband a job closer to where we now live.  Trying to down size my house and put stuff in storage!!! Trying to find stuff!!!! OMG!  Hate moving!

Then my son moved in with us for about 4 months.  That was even more crazy.  Where to put him with all the other stuff I don't know what to do with!!!  He was a trooper and was just glad to be here.  Thanks!!!

I have take a few on line art classes this past year by Kat McBride.  She has been wonderful.

This past November I turned 40 and my husband gave me a year long class.  Lifebook 2014 with Tamara Laporte.  I am so enjoying this class.  So I thought what a good time to update what I have been up to.
So I will share with you some of my photos from Kat's Class and from the Lifebook 2014 Classes so far.

These are a couple of my drawings/ paintings from Kat McBrides' Class.  I have had fun drawing and painting with her all year.

This mermaid is not done yet.  I have to give her a back ground.  Soon though!
This owl is a drawing for ATC Card Swap that I drew and colored.  I had a great time making him.

This is my warm up lesson from week 1 of LifeBook 2014 with Tamara.
This is week 2 with Micki Wilde.... she was a lot of fun and got you to just enjoy painting and drawing and doodling.

Week 4 with Kelly Hoernig.  This mixed media was so much fun.

These are my Sugar Divas from week 5 with Marieke Blokland.  That was so much fun.... I am going to keep making these girls!!!  I could just draw their heads all day and make a bunch of them!

This is week 6 with Tamara and playing with ink sprays.  OMG!  Love the Spray Inks!!!  Messy but so much fun!!! The one below is my Spray Ink and lady picture.  This is another part of week 6 with Tamara Laporte.  I had a great time with these.
Ok so that's what I have been doing in wrap!
I am working on week 7 right now and then on to 8.  As I am falling a bit behind these days.  I have been stitching for work some of the time too.  So Gotta get my groove back !
Hope you can check out the Lifebook 2014 classes and check out these great Artist Ladies.  They have been so much fun and I am learning a lot of good stuff from them.
I will keep you up to date better these next few months.
Hope everyone is getting warmer weather and looking forward to spring like me!
